You Mean I’ve Done This 100 Times?????

Well, it’s here and I can’t believe something that I started for the heck of it has become such an obsession. With this meaningless rant included, I have now completed my 100th post. I’m sure I’ve at least doubled that number in comments made on other folks’ blogs.

This all started at the end of June. I’ve become so absorbed with this blogging bug that apparently I’ve neglected or missed a few things over the last few months. When I got to work this morning, I was greeted at the front door. I thought that was a nice gesture to honor my 100th post, but I was then told I had been fired…like 3 months ago. Somehow, I hadn’t noticed and everyone was too polite to tell me when I kept showing up day after day.

I was also shocked to learn that my twins had turned four during my blogging binge. Go figure, they still look like they did when I started. Did you know that Americans aren’t happy with President George Bush? How the hell did I miss that? Oh yeah, while I’m at it, when did Summer end and why’s it getting dark earlier? I’ve got so many questions; I guess I really must have missed a lot. By the way, who’s Paris Hilton and why would I care that she was arrested for a DUI? Did Mel Gibson say something recently; it seems like he offended a lot of people.

Had I known that blogging was so addictive, I would have started doing it sooner (ba-dump-dump). I didn’t mean to devote most of my day (and night) to blogging, it just happened. I have visited so many great blogs and received such great comments on mine that missing the events of the last few months was worth it. I want to thank all of the blogging friends I’ve made since I started all of this. I have really enjoyed exchanging comments and ideas with you. I’m going to cut this short and turn off my computer so I can catch up on what I’ve missed, but I have to ask, where am I?

Wow, blogging as an addiction. I am feeling it, yet, I am not 100% there yet (or is this denial).

I suppose soon enough lawsuits against the internet and warning labels on new computers saying "Warning, blogging maybe dangerous to your social life and what little social skills you might possess"

I guess there will be weekly support meetings for addicts, if they ever stop blogging, and meetings for spouses of bloggers saying things like, "we just don't communicate, it's like I am shut out of their social circle...How are we to go on like this?"

hmmm, blogging as an addiction...

Some of my friends think I gave up sex for blogging but that's just not true! I gave up sex for sanity! Blogging may be the next thing I have to give up for sanity. Oy vey!

Blogging has replaced many of the things that I used to do in my life. Laundry, showering, grocery shopping...I still floss though.

Congrats on 100... but your last two posts have me worried, I'm not a doctor, but I think you have both a
BTD and a HTD.

Yay, your blog is 100 posts old! May it live on for as long as you can keep thinking up these great entries.

May the powers that be shield you from carpal tunnel syndrome.

Cheers!
